The ultimate summer fruit that always accompanies us in our swims and on our vacations here in Greece, the fig, in addition to being delicious, is also extremely beneficial for our health – not that we needed any more reasons to... devour it. Although they are not so... famous among the northern peoples, in the Mediterranean figs are a hit and are the hallmark of summer, while their true lovers consume them all year round in their dried form. Due to their soft skin, crunchy seeds and tasty flesh, figs have a rich texture and flavor.
